Club Officer Election set for May 29th
Election Day for next year’s Club Officers is Tuesday 29th of May. Now is your chance to make a difference by Stepping Up and putting forward your name. Everyone who is a member of the Club is eligible to put their name forward for any of the roles. Simply reach out to Camilla or to Jeremy in the next few days.
This is an excellent opportunity to extend your leadership skills, it is great fun and you get credit towards your Advanced Leadership Bronze award. If you have been a Toastmaster for more than 12 months you should definitely be considering a role; if you have been a Toastmaster for less than 12 months this a great way of learning more about the club and Toastmasters – Go for it !

Officer’s Training in Gothenburg, Sweden
Anna Maria (Club Secretary) and I (VP Membership) arrived at Gothenburg on Friday 03/02 at night and were greeted by our Area Governor, Kyoko Jansson who kindly arranged accommodation for us at the venue of this season’s Officer Training. There are 2 Officer Training sessions per “toastmaster year”: one in summer and one in winter of the following year. Last summer was the first session and this was the second. Continue reading
Toastmasters International Board Briefing on February 11th
Each February, the Board of Directors meets for its mid-year session. The event concludes with an open-to-the-public briefing where Board members report the result of their deliberations. This year, the Board Briefing will be held on February 11, 2012, at Toastmasters’ World Headquarters.
